- Lean is a Journey, not a Destination
Lean Coach Chris Galante joins Six Sigma & Process Excellence IQ to talk about how CDG, a Boeing Company; Boeing Commercial Airplanes, has applied Lean to its business strategy. He explains why Lean is an important focus for CDG and the role that it plays. Next he talks about how CDG ensures its Lean programme remains sustainable – “Lean is a journey, not a destination”. He explains how it is evolving through team spirit, business intelligence when it comes to take-up of new technology, and an ethos of sticking to the basics and keeping focused on goals. He also discusses how CDG has adapted its Lean programme in line with the troubled economic climate of recent years. The interview closes with some reflections on challenges faced as a change leader.
