The Annual Gala Dinner each year is one of the key conference highlights and an ideal way to conclude day one of the conference. Each year attendees remark on how much they enjoy the opportunity to join new contacts and old acquaintances alike in a more informal setting with just over 100 military and industry representatives in attendance last year.

Lieutenant General Dick Applegate
Former Chief of Materiel (Land), DE&S
An innovative, pragmatic and highly accomplished senior leader, main board executive and strategic manager tested in some of the most challenging times in defence acquisition and logistics, combat command, institutional change, and crisis management and policy formulation at the highest international political levels. With an international reputation for delivery and successful change and thought leadership, he now wishes to lead in private or public enterprises after a highly distinguished career in the military. This desire has been reinforced by completion of the Boeing Company’s executive leadership programme in the USA and subsequent board-level attachments to PwC, Boeing, BAE Systems, G4S and DHL to review their global businesses.
