Subsequently Mammoet carried out a number of projects in Australia including the Port Kembla No 6 blast furnace 1991/2 and the HBI project 1996/7 prior to establishing an office in Brisbane in 2002 to explore project opportunities in the resources sector.

Since which they have has an involvement in the following projects :

More recently Mammoet aquired the operations of Hercules crane hire in 2009 giving an exposure to the “taxi hire crane market” with an administration office in Port Hedland and branches in Newman, Karratha and Leonora which gives a direct exposure to the civil and resource companies within these areas.

This growth has also seen a change in company focus from being solely project driven to being a full service provider with a focus on crane and transport operations in all sectors of industry be it Civil & Resources / Power / Petrochemical / Offshore marine

Mammoet have recently opened an office in Perth to better service the heavy lift module transport and crane work they have been awarded in relation to the Gorgon project as well as to be closer to future developments coming up in WA and to better achieve our strategy of “maintaining a strong reputation by delivering innovative and customer driven solutions in niche markets” whereby achieving our mission statement – “To be the best full service provider in the global market for engineered heavy lifting and multi – modal transport for the benefit of our customers, shareholders and employees
