Promoting Consumer Confidence and Developing the Infrastructure to Support the Widespread Adoption of Electric Vehicles

Higher fuel prices, the need for cleaner air as well as concerns over global warming are prompting the auto industry to use alternative sources of energy to power vehicles. Additionally, federal and local governments have played a major role in the development and near term deployment of electric vehicles by offering federal incentives (tax credits) and regulation to reduce the initial barriers to adoption.

Attend the 2nd Electric Vehicles Summit to learn new ways to grow consumer and corporate use of electric vehicles.

While it is clear that electric vehicles provide economic, political and environmental benefits, there are several uncertainties that exist with regard to the performance and battery life of these vehicles as well as the impact of these vehicles on the grid over time. Furthermore, to make these green vehicles practical and commercially viable, there needs to be an electric vehicle infrastructure that promotes collaboration, education and training. The communication between the automotive industry, electric utilities, charging station companies, federal, state and local governments and consumers is imperative to successfully bring these cars to Main Street.

This conference will provide the knowledge and the steps businesses, organizations, communities and states need to take in hit the balance of range, price, and convenience consumers want in order to deploy these vehicles on the road.
