Myanmar’s ADS-B masterplan consists of 5 ADS-B stations located at the following sites: Lathio Airport, Kyaing Tone Airport, Sittwe Airport, Panthein Airport and Cooco Island Airport. According to the ADS-B Implementation Plan, the project is expected to start in 2012 and complete by 2015. Mr Tike Aung, Deputy Director – Air Navigation Safety Division, Department of Civil Aviation, Myanmar will show how Myanmar cope with integration problem via a phrase by phrase approach.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation in Indonesia is planning to build a new JAATS (Jakarta Automated Air Traffic Service). This new system will be named JATMS (Jakarta Air Traffic Management System). Development of the JATMS’s building is on going until end of 2011. While waiting for development of the JATMS, Indonesia has built an Emergency JAATS system to be a backup system in case of JAATS’s failure. Mr Ahmad Rifai, Assistant Team Leader – Jakarta Air Traffic Management System Project, PT. Angkasa Pura II will give key updates on the new automated air traffic service.
Vietnam Air Traffic Management (VATM) will spend over $67 million on its 46 new and ongoing air traffic management projects. Funding for these projects comes mainly from VATM’s own budget accumulated from its business activities. Key upcoming projects to be undertaken by VATM include: ACC/Hanoi Project, Domestic Airport Air Traffic Management (ATM) Towers (for the following airports: Dien Bien Phu, Vinh, Phu Bai, Phu Cat, Dong Hoi, Chu Lai, Pleiku, Can Tho, Phu Quoc, Con Dao, Buon Ma Thuot), Noi Bai and Tan Son Nhat Air Traffic Management (ATM) Tower, and VATM Headquarters Building. Mr Hoang Huu Lich, Manager of Communication, Navigation & Surveillance, Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam will discuss the readiness of the new CNS systems in Vietnam for ATM applications
