With the impact of Information Technology (IT) transforming the way business and communication is conducted, it comes as no surprise that healthcare would follow suit. Continued advances in technology coupled with the necessity for streamlined and accurate health-data-transfer has brought the topic of efficient Electronic Health Records (EHR) to the forefront. The ability to go “Paperless” has been achieved; however the focus is now the need for optimized interoperability among the Armed Services and Government Agencies. Accurate medical data will now follow our military personnel from the recruitment process through retirement.
IDGA’s Electronic Health Records Summit will bring together key actors and decision makers involved in the military and government healthcare IT sector(s). The summit is designed as a forum in which decision makers and end users can come together in order to maximize the collective knowledge within the government and health IT stratum. Delegates will be given the opportunity to debate the issues at hand, learn from their peers, and forge solutions for their respective challenges.
By participating in this Summit, you will have the exceptional opportunity to take part in continued discussions where debate, dialogue, and networking are encouraged with the hopes of achieving Health Information Technology (HIT) synergy. By the end of the EHR summit delegates will be able to identify the future of EHR, the modernization of DoD and VA systems, and the progress towards interoperability.
