The inaugural Southern African Transportation Infrastructure Summit will explore the exciting landscape of transportation projects currently being proposed in Southern Africa. The SADC region is seeking to improve its economic and social integration by rehabilitating existing road and rail networks and implementing new transportation corridors.

The importance of facilitating trade between the Southern African countries has been placed at the top of governmental agendas, with a key focus on improving accessibility to ports and airports, repairing outdated road and rail infrastructure and laying new track and asphalt for future growth.
