Third Party Bodily Injury (TPBI) claims inflation has become the scourge of motor insurers recently, especially in countries practicing “tortuous” system. Statistically, Motor Act Claim has loss ratio 200% to 300% compared to the premium received. In addition, fraudulent TPBI claims have consistently plagued motor insurers.

This workshop sets a comprehensive discussion platform on detecting the fraudulent TPBI claims and managing them.

Workshop B will address:

  • Identify common claims patterns in hard TPBI fraud and soft TPBI fraud
  • Evaluate the necessity to launch investigation through cost-benefit analysis
  • Examine the feasibility and advantages of anti-fraud screening at first notice of loss
  • Leverage fraud detection intelligence (such as key fraud indicators) to uncover opportunistic and exaggerated claims
  • Incorporate fraud management framework through all areas of claims investigation and operations, from initial detection, investigation with evidence leading to hearing on court or amicable settlement
  • Apply the strategies to improve your organisation’s practices through hands-on exercise
