Dr. Andrew A. Michta is Professor of National Security Studies and Deputy Director of the Senior Executive Seminar at the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies in Germany. He is also the Mertie W. Buckman Distinguished Professor of International Studies at Rhodes College in Tennessee (on leave 2005-2009). Dr. Michta has published books & articles on US and European security, NATO, transatlantic relations, civil-military relations and democratization. He is a member of the International Institute for Strategic Studies in London, and an associate of the Institute of European, Russian, and Eurasian Studies at the George Washington University.
