What are the TAMBIC awards?

The TAMBIC Awards have been established to honor, recognize and promote organizations whose talent management practices result in a productive, engaged, and loyal workforce, from frontline workers to top-line succession planning.

Application Categories

Best Overall Talent Management Organization of the Year This category will examine:

  • Define your organization’s employment brand strength and provide supporting documentation of its successful attributes: (15% of total application score)
  • Provide supporting evidence of a Return on Investment (ROI) model and document measurable results: (20% of total application score)
  • Provide evidence that talent initiatives are integrated with other HR practices (e.g. diversity, performance management, retention, succession planning, development planning, compensation, global transfers, staffing models, etc.) and document results: (10% of total application score)
  • Provide evidence that talent initiatives are integrated with other business practices (e.g. public relations, company branding, community relations ...) and document results: (10% of total application score)
  • Provide evidence that talent practices are a competitive advantage to the overall organization: (15% of total application score)
  • Document Innovation in talent initiatives and provide support for their results: (20% of total application score)

Most Innovative Talent Management Program Initiative This category will examine:

  • Describe a talent management roadblock that you set out to overcome, such as lack of leadership support, budget, weak past performance, major downsizing, merger or acquisition, or other corporate change (10% of score)
  • Document creative problem solving given the above talent management roadblock(s), (30% of total application score)
  • Document innovation in talent management initiatives and provide support for their results, (e.g. career path development, succession planning, employee engagement program, onboarding, training, satisfaction surveys, use of technology, etc.): 30% of total application score)
  • Provide supporting evidence of Return on Investment (ROI) from this initiative (30% of total application score)

Most Innovative Recruiting & Staffing Program Initiative

  • Document creative problem solving given major roadblocks in recruiting & staffing, such as lack of leadership support, budget, weak past performance, major downsizing, merger or acquisition, or other corporate change: (30% of total application score)
  • Document innovation in recruiting and staffing initiatives and provide support for their results, (e.g. employee referrals, recruitment website, college recruiting, , etc.): (25% of total application score)
  • Define your organization’s employment brand strength and provide supporting documentation of its successful attributes: (25% of total application score)
  • Provide supporting evidence of Return on Investment (ROI) from this initiative (25% of total application score)

Best Recruiting Evaluation Technique This category will examine:

  • Provide evidence of formalized data collection: (25% of total application score)
  • Provide evidence that strategic goals (of the Recruiting function) are clearly being achieved: (25% of the total application score)
  • Document the use of a valid evaluation model: (25% of the total application score)
  • Provide evidence of a demonstrated executive management belief and support that recruiting is having a positive impact on the organization: (25% of the total application score)

Best Use of Technology for Talent Management (Vendors must be nominated by a client) This category will examine:

  • Provide evidence that a strategic talent management goal is clearly being achieved through technology implementation: (25% of the total application score)
  • Document return on investment (ROI) model for the technology solutions being deployed. Provide measurable results: (25% of the total application score)
  • Provide evidence that the technology solution is innovative, or has improved processes: (25% of the total application score)
  • Provide evidence of management/executive support for technology investments, implementation and results: (25% of the total application score)

Talent Management Leader of the Year This category will examine:

  • Describe the strategic role the leader has played in determining how talent management is strategically integrated throughout the organization: (25% of the total application score)
  • Provide evidence of demonstrated employee commitment: (25% of the total application score)
  • Describe the leader’s vision of the future of talent management in the organization : (25% of the total application score)
  • Describe innovative programs initiated by the leader and how their results are measured: (25% of the total application score)

When will the TAMBIC awards take place?

The awards to be presented at IQPC’s Talent Management SuperConference, taking place March 31 – April 2, 2008, Buena Vista Palace Hotel & Spa, Orlando, Florida.
