For the last 6 years, Defence IQ’s Defence Logistics Europe event has been proud to tackle the logistics community’s toughest challenges.

Continuing the theme we pioneered in 2008, we’re delighted to present Europe’s only operationally focused logistics symposium. Whilst other events stick to the familiar topics of transformation, Defence Logistics Europe concentrates on the full spectrum of logistics operations, bringing you feedback from on-the-ground commanders, end-users and of course, the world’s most senior level logistic practitioners.

Defence Logistics Europe listens to your feedback and this year we’re introducing new innovations to make your conference even more valuable. With the success of last year’s focus day and panel discussions, the 2009 event is expanding on this model with an unprecedented 6 keynote speakers – all of whom will participate in extended question and answer sessions.

Previous attendees will know just how open, frank and honest the conversations we bring you are. But for newcomers, you can look forward to insights and revelations that you simply won’t get at other events. With a truly international faculty of expert logisticians, this year you will hear from: Norway, Canada, Spain, Netherlands, United States, United Kingdom, and NATO SHAPE.

The speaker panel for Defence Logistics Europe includes:

us Major General James E. Chambers, Commanding General, United States Army Combined Arms Support Command
nato Major General Leonardo Di Marco, Deputy Chief of Staff – Support, NATO Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE)
norway Major General Roar Sundseth, Deputy Director, National Joint Headquarters, Norway
nl Brigadier General Jan Broeks, Commanding General, 1 Logistic Brigade, Royal Netherlands Army
canada Brigadier General Christine Cross, Deputy Commander and Chief of Operations and Plans, Canadian Operational Support Command
uk Brigadier Paul Stearns, Commander, Joint Forces Logistics Operations, Permanent Joint Headquarters, UK MoD

We’re also delighted to welcome back Brigadier Charlie Hobson (Ret’d) as our Conference Chairman. Quite unlike any other Chairman, his humour, passion and enthusiasm will bring the conference to life.

Plus, do not miss the Pre-Conference Workshop Day:

Our workshops also present an exclusive opportunity to go into the most pressing issues of military logistics in immense depth.

Led by Professor Walther Ploos von Amstel, Professor, Logistics and Information, Netherlands Defence Academy and Nick Linkowitz, Chief, Logistics Vision Team, United States Marine Corps, they will examine issues of logistic planning, asset visibility, contractor support, in theatre-mobility and multinational logistics support.

We look forward to welcoming you to Defence Logistic Europe 2009!

If you are not yet ready to register, feel free to request a reminder nearer the time.
