Spatially Enabled Government is a hot topic at the moment, and all parties involved in implementing Geographic Information Systems (GIS) wants to know what they can do to better implement and ensure improved solutions.

Across the world governments are striving to provide more cost effective and efficient services to the public. The trend is for them to move into an e-government, as web technology enables governments to not only provide services to the public via the internet, but also to improve internal effectiveness by deploying intranet business applications to their staff and business solutions.

Numerous governmental departments throughout South Africa are currently implementing GIS, but there is still a lot that they can do to improve their current solutions. One of the reasons that Spatial Data Methodologies can’t always be implemented as they would want to is because of the skills shortage and lack of knowledge on the topic.

IQPC is presenting its 3rd Annual Conference on Spatially Enabled Government. By attending this event you will gain new strategies and techniques to improve GIS in your Department. This conference will also provide you with the opportunity to learn more from other departments on what they are doing to implement GIS and what can be done to ensure the sharing of geospatial data.

People You Will Meet

This conference on Spatially Enabled Government will bring together individuals from local, provincial and national government that will share experiences and provide insight to what they are currently doing. There will be numerous opportunities for you to network and be part of our exclusive one-on-one sessions where you can meet every single delegate attending the conference.
