Robin Lee (Past Speaker)

Robin Lee has more than 25 years of experience in corporate finance, strategy and financial services. Robin is the Co-Founder and CEO of HelloGold. HelloGold is Malaysia’s first successful token sale with proceeds in excess of US$5m in the summer of 2017. HelloGold also successfully completed its Series A in 2017 at a post-money valuation of US$12m. Robin is responsible for fund-raising, setting the strategy for the business and managing key relationships Prior to HelloGold, Robin was the Chief Financial Officer of the World Gold Council where he was the Principal accounting officer for SPDR Gold Trust (‘GLD’), world’s largest gold ETF, with US$30+b AUM. At the WGC, he also supported the Singapore government to develop its gold hub strategy which led to launch of world’s first exchange-traded, wholesale kilo gold contract. He also helped to develop new sovereign gold-backed bond concept to enable countries to lower sovereign debt yields through securitisation of central bank gold reserves. With his colleagues in China, Robin worked with Industrial and Commerce Bank of China to introduce gold savings programme which generated annual sales of $6.5b by its 4th year
