Prior to joining St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital’s Office of Legal Services in 2012, John moved from Atlanta, Georgia, where he was a Federal Investigator with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office for Civil Rights (“OCR”). He is very experienced with privacy and security regulations, including health information technology, having worked both for a regulatory agency and a covered entity. John was a Fulbright Scholar in 2003 in Germany and taught English and American literature, culture, and politics. John received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in International Studies from Ouachita Baptist University, a Master of Arts degree in German from the University of Arkansas, and a law degree from Georgia State University’s College of Law.
