Dave McComb is President and co-founder of Semantic Arts. Semantic Arts is a consulting firm specializing in helping enterprises make the transition from traditional application-centric system implementation to data-centric. Semantic Arts was founded in 2000 and has helped firms such as Procter & Gamble, Lexis Nexis, Schneider-Electric, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs and about a dozen agencies in the states of Washington, Colorado and Texas.
Dave has over 40 years’ experience in enterprise applications, starting with 13 years with Andersen Consulting (the part that became Accenture) where amongst other things he lead two projects that built and implemented custom ERP systems. He then spent ten years with a dot.com startup where he built and architecture and was awarded four patents including the first patent for fully model driven application software development. He has been leading Semantic Arts for 19 years, and is the author of Semantics in Business Systems, Software Wasteland and the soon to be released The Data-Centric Revolution
