Head of Digitalisation - AI, Robotics & Data Driven Business Change AXA Belgium

Emile is Head of digitalisation at AXA Belgium. He is responsible for Artificial Intelligence, data-driven transformation and process digitalisation using Robotics.

From an IT consultancy background at Capgemini, he joined AXA 5 years ago. He first successfully transformed the CIO office department by building a BI environment and supporting processes to monitor and pilot the 90M IT budget, corresponding to 600 FTE.

He then joined the transformation direction where he set up the Artificial Intelligence department. After delivering the first use case in 6 months to index our 5M yearly incoming emails, he secured the funding of the AI team as well as a strong sponsorship from the management committee.

Because he is convinced you have to take data-driven decisions before automating them with AI, he set-up the data-driven transformation department. Working on performance management, it is currently impacting and enhancing how daily decisions are taken, aligning the work of more than 1,500 people towards our strategic KPI's in operations, commercial and delivery teams

He is also responsible for the robotics program, enabling him to streamline AXA processes and implement AI in the legacy systems.
