Deborah Marrone

Assistant Regional Director, NE Region Federal Trade Commission
Deborah Marrone is the Assistant Regional Director for the FTC’s Northeast Region.  Deborah has been with the FTC since 2003 and has been the Assistant Regional Director since 2008.  As a staff attorney, she worked on cases involving the FDCPA, the Do Not Call Rule, and deceptive advertising.  She supervises a variety of consumer protection matters and the Northeast Region has obtained millions of dollars in civil penalties against companies for law violations as well as millions of dollars in redress for consumers during her tenure there.  Before joining the FTC, Deborah was in private practice with the law firms of Kaye Scholer, LLP and Pitney Hardin, where she worked on a wide range of complex civil litigation matters.  Deborah graduated cum laude from Harvard Law School and magna cum laude from Georgetown University.
