Maurizio Mancini

Lead of ENAV “Head of Safety Planning and Standardization” Unit which is part of ENAV Safety Department. Graduated after completing his degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Rome University with a Master in Air Traffic Management. Maurizio has been employed by ENAV since 1998. As a former Radar Air Traffic Controller, with operational experience in Milan ACC, he has been involved in several safety related projects/activities. From 2010 to May 2018 he covered the position of Head of Safety Assessment Management and of Safety Risk Evaluation which includes the definition of the ENAV System Safety Assessment methodology and the ENAV Risk Assessor training. Maurizio is also ENAV Focal Point for SESAR Safety Activities and for all commercial activities related to safety assessment elaboration for ENAV international ANSP clients (Malaysia, Morocco, Dubai, etc.). He’s also member of the Canso EASA Task Force and vice-chair of the EASA ATM/ANS Technical Committee.
