3:50 PM Using Technology and Advanced Analytics to Improve the Way Citizens Receive Communication

The City of Canterbury Bankstown is in the process of undergoing a digital transformational strategy to improve waste disposal and waste management techniques. Aiming to upgrade the resident’s access to information regarding bin collection, as well as using GPS data to minimise delays on collection routes, the use of data and analytics has become an important component within the Council’s digital citizen service strategy. This case study will look into the work the council is undergoing in using technology to make services more easily accessible to citizens.

  • Moving away from IoT to discuss automation and AI to deliver better services to citizens
  • Enabling residents to request services via real-time data
  • Improving the way residents provide and receive communication on waste issues
