2:00 PM INTERACTIVE GROUP DISCUSSION: Enterprise Architecture In The Digital Landscape: The 5 Components Of Digital Strategy

Businesses are being forced to renew an effective digital strategy in order to keep up with technology and consumer demand efficiently. As the previous Head of Digital Strategy at the Digital Transformation Agency, Alan has been involved with providing strategic leadership for government to develop the capabilities to respond to needs of the customer and improve services. He is now undertaking further strategic research and subject leadership at UNSW Business school. Toomas is a leading expert on EA as a lecturer at UNSW and will frame the requirement for a redesigned digital strategy from the ins and outs of an architecture perspective. In this interactive session, Alan and Toomas will break down the contemporary challenges of working through digital strategy with an Enterprise Architecture Lens:

  • No longer the traditional strategy, how can EA take into account an array of business partners and valued services to inform and shape a renewed business strategy
  • How the architecture discipline can secure funding and properly set up management processes to govern organisational change
  • Cultivating the ability to put the customer at the centre as a learning organisation, and how this affects business structure
  • How to identify the technology platforms vital to realising business capabilities in line with a digital strategy
  • What do these disruptions mean for the role of EA and how does it best fit into a contemporary digital environment
