Carsten Paasch (Past Speaker)

Carsten is originally from Germany, but decided to move to Asia already during his studies. He has over 20 years of experience in banking. He started his career in the technology world, working at different times in IT development, IT infrastructure, and information security. He then moved on into Operational Risk with a focus on financial markets. For the past three years Carsten has been working in Financial Crime Compliance with a continued focus on operational risk challenges in this area. Carsten has worked in Hong Kong, Korea and Japan, and is currently based in Singapore. He holds four Master’s Degrees and a PhD in Information Systems. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 kids, as well as sailing, playing the piano, the violin and the oboe.
