Conference Day Two: Wednesday, 4th December 2019

11:00 AM SPEAKER PANEL: Redesigning Flexible Working Practices to Retain the Talent of Tenured Employees

The current volume and rapid increase of people remaining in the workplace well past traditional retirement age is unprecedented. The demand of flexible working isn’t only the requirements of the new emerging workforce but also of the tenured workers that have the skills and experience. They are looking for flexibility, equal opportunities, and better access to training and development to further excel their skills and experience. In order to retain talent, organisations need to redesign their flexible working practices to accommodate to the requests of their more experienced employees who are accustomed to traditional ways of working.

In this session:
  • Evaluating the requests of the ageing demographic of the workforce to determine what flexibility means to them
  • Trialling flexible working practices in a limited and controlled environment
  • Gathering data through conducting surveys and reporting on results to highlight benefits and learnings
  • Empowering leaders to consider innovative ways to attract and retain the talent of the ageing workforce
