Aircraft tracking has faced many industry challenges since the last decade. Over the last years, safety procedures have been put in place to ensure aviation safety.

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) and ICAO are now working together on simulations to make sure that this tracking standard can be adapted to real-world scenarios. ICAO and NATA are also thinking of applying this in distress tracking standard to be rolled out in January 2021.
