Prof. Byron Byrne

Prof. of Engineering Science Oxford University

Byron Byrne  leads on research at Oxford University into the geotechnical engineering for offshore wind and other renewable energy structures. He was Principal Investigator for the PISA project, which delivered new design methods for large diameter offshore wind turbine monopiles. He leads on new research exploring cyclic loading of offshore wind monopiles in clays and sands, and is also investigating driven pile response in chalk.

Conference Day One
