Workshop A is broken down into 4 thirty minute small group sessions that mimic the real life scenario that a Project Leader faces from the initial university mandate through facility completion. The structure of each of the mini sessions will be to gauge and benchmark your current group capability, provide expert insights into how to do it better and more efficiently, and then revamp and improve that project based. You will experience a step up in your skill set and ability to build and execute the plan.

If you’re not already doing it, it is inevitable that you will soon be working on projects that disrupt the status quo. However innovative, enthusiastic and eager you and your leadership team may be, we all know that change is NOT easy. You need both top down and bottom up buy-in to effectively manage, unveil and have success on any new endeavor. During this professional development seminar, a certified Project Management Professional will provide the best practices and instruction on the 5 core tenants of Project Management -Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring and controlling and Closing the project. You will also acquire the soft skills and first hand advice on the best methods to get complete team buy-in for optimal performance.

Future Educational Spaces that Work – Taking the Guesswork out of Future Spaces
In this Workshop, you will be divided into small workgroups and led by a subject matter expert, run in a Design Thinking format, where no idea is a bad idea. Utilizing human centered design, you will step into the shoes of the next generation of higher education enrollees and leave all previous conceptions at the door. You and your team will practically build a multi-use Educational Facility of the future and then share amongst workgroups the successes, challenges and workarounds!
