Developed in response to Closing the Gap and Making Tracks, Warren Locke’s Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander Health Workforce Strategic Framework aims to increase Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander workforce opportunities across the Queensland Government health sector. In this session, Warren Locke and Wanda James will discuss how the framework is designed strengthen hospitals in rural and remote communities and will secure a sustainable healthcare future.

Working in collaboration with remote and rural hospitals to uncover priority health issues to design a workforce that can meet these needs
Implementing strategic plans to develop capability and capacities within the healthcare environment
Supporting hospital and health services by implementing initiatives to deliver a culturally capable and responsive workforce
