3:00 PM Leveraging IoT Technology to Protect the Quality, Operational Efficiency and Reputation of Montague’s Products
The providence and security of picking, packing and shipping of fresh fruit to consumer markets is an increasingly important factor within the agriculture industry. Being able to record the history of the fruit is extremely important for 3 main reasons: it is a key consideration for consumers to ensure the purchasing of a quality product, capturing fruit volumes & quality allows BI tools to identify what are the optimal conditions & approaches for each product, should food tampering occur, we can identify exactly where & when it occurred to minimise impact on all stakeholders (actual and reputational). With these things in mind this presentation will focus on how Montague is:
- Continuing to invest in the implementation of IoT technologies across its entire supply chain.
- Building smart infrastructure across the organisation to provide real-time visibility of products at all stages
- Developing further streams of data to aid the updating & building of new facilities
