The Peel Business Park renewable energy industrial microgrid is situated in the 120-hectare Peel Business Park and is an innovative solution to the high costs of extending the mains grid into the estate. It will be powered by a combination of electricity generated through a 1 MW ground mounted solar farm and electricity sourced from the SWIS grid network. A battery storage system will moderate, store and discharge power according to demand.
This session will convene the key project participants including land developers, regulators, microgrid developers, infrastructure owners, technology providers and more - they will share the journey to development and lessons learned so far.
