Tim Chesher (Past Speaker)

Tim is the Practice Lead for Coastal and Marine covering Europe, Middle East, and Africa at Advisian, the consulting arm of the WorleyParsons Group. He has over 30 years’ experience in coastal and marine projects and has managed and undertaken development projects worldwide, with a focus on technical studies using both numerical and physical models. 

As Practice Lead Tim has responsibility for managing the Practice as part of the Advisian business and has overall accountability for the delivery, performance, administration and operational efficiency across the Practice.  He has direct line management responsibility for his teams currently based across Advisian’s offices in Madrid, Dubai and Cape Town.

Prior to joining Advisian Tim worked in HR Wallingford in the UK for 30 years with responsibility for managing one of the larger technical groups with a focus on coastal studies, before being invited to take on a business development role as Regional Manager for Middle East and S Asia.

Tim has a BSc in Physics and Meteorology, and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA).  He is a Fellow of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology, and is a Chartered Marine Scientist.
