With the global risks and threats, security of port facilities and ships is important. As per the legislative amendments, complying with safety and security planning requirements is a challenge in the ports sector. While designing a terminal or a port, there are elements that can reduce exposure to safety risks such as reducing manual tasks by human, isolating high-risk areas, automation reduces number of people in operation therefore reduces risks, etc.
