Port Development Middle East Pre-Forum Workshops: Sunday, 5 April 2020

Sunday, April 5th, 2020

The opportunities in the ports sector are massive and governments are keen to attract investments to facilitate the urbanising population. Complicated trade and regulatory regimes cause political and economic unrest. Lack of developed infrastructure and logistics services for in-time production and consumer supply poses a challenge for the region. Customs clearance, multimodal transport, logistics delays, cost and quality issues etc. have a great impact on trade flows.

Attend this workshop and learn:
  • How does logistics cycle affect business outcomes and economy
  • Direct impacts of vessel size and specification, containerisation, transshipment etc. in accelerating the trade flows
  • Collaborations, strategic alliances, mergers and acquisitions
  • Importance of dry ports development and inland terminals for trade to landlocked areas
