Open Banking is gaining traction globally, with a large number of countries now looking to implement Open Banking initiatives. HSBC has been live with an Open Banking channel in the UK since January 2018 and is now delivering Open Banking in the rest of Europe, Hong Kong and Mexico. It is also influencing policy in multiple territories across the world. HSBC was also the first major bank to launch an Open Banking proposition in the UK. George will share his experiences from the perspective of an incumbent bank with a global footprint. Participants will also have the opportunity to discuss scenarios on how the Open Banking ecosystem in Australia is might evolve, taking the role of different market participants.
