Ewan Duncan

Born in Scotland and an alumnus of Edinburgh University (Jt Hons Mathematics and Statistics), Ewan has held the role of Group Head of Security at the UK’s largest Port Operator for the past 2 years.

While ensuring that ABP and its 21 Ports remain complaint with ISPS and the UK’s Security Regulations (Ports), he has led a number of cyber investigations, become a qualified Data Protection Officer as well as a IS 9001 Lead Auditor. In addition, Ewan has delivered recruitment programmes and recently completed a multi-million-pound procurement project for security guarding services across the UK.

Before a 12-month period establishing his own corporate security and business intelligence consultancy, Ewan held a senior executive security role within British American Tobacco. Conducting security investigations across the globe and a central figure in the development of global strategy, he led procurement projects, recruitment programmes and authored an Operational Directive which secured legal compliance.

This was precipitated by a 30-year career as a Royal Marines Officer and Intelligence Corps Officer. Ewan served in most operational campaigns and has received gallantry and meritorious service awards from both the UK and US.
