Samuel is an applied social psychologist and Research Fellow at the Lee Kuan Yew Centre for Innovative Cities in the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD). His current research in the Future of Digital Economies and Digital Societies, and the Smart Cities Lab research programmes focuses on understanding the potential impact of introducing technological innovations on people and their work as part of our aspirations to become 'smart'.
