3:30 PM Lessons Learned in Trialing Intergenerational Living to Improve Social Interactions and Behaviours between University Students and Residents

The University of the Sunshine Coast is trialing living arrangements with six students to live in decommissioned rooms in the Cooinda Aged Care Centre. Learn about:

  • The scheme and Win-Win arrangement, with students being required to interact on a social basis with residents in return for significantly reduced rent
  • Embedding psychology into residential aged care through intergenerational living and socialisation to help residents combat aged related loneliness and take their mind off aches and pain
  • The challenges of a trial housing arrangement, which requires careful planning with all parties to ensure common vision and aligned expectations

Check out the incredible speaker line-up to see who will be joining Robyn.
