5th Annual Next Generation Rolling Stock Management Conference 2019

Exploring Future Rolling Stock Requirements, Next Generation Fleet Innovations,  and Effective Asset Life Cycle Condition Monitoring and Maintenance Strategies

In response to major population growth and congestion in our cities, we are witnessing billions of dollars being invested in rail infrastructure projects across Australia.  With this investment comes an urgent need for the rail industry and government to develop a long-term rolling stock procurement strategy that helps the industry prepare for future demand and drive efficient delivery of fleet to meet both passenger and freight needs for the next 30-years.

In addition to setting out future requirements, there is also an urgent need to invest in existing rolling stock and develop effective asset management and maintenance strategies to maximize operational performance and extend asset life.

With this in mind, I am pleased to share with you the program for our 5th Annual Next Generation Rolling stock Summit. This event will bring together stakeholders from across the passenger and freight rail operating environment to discuss current and long-term investment priorities and the opportunities available to maximize innovative new technologies and data capture for proactive rather than reactive fleet maintenance and management.
