Event Guide | Smart Ports Australia 2019

With global freight transportation revenue expected to grow from $166 billion in 2018 to over $203 billion in 2023, our ports and terminal operators are facing strong competition to keep up with the digital landscape, as well as respond to new disruptors.

Reports show that inefficiencies with ports and carriers can cost the industry as much as $17 billion a year; alternatively, improving your gas emissions and fuel consumption can reduce costs by roughly $4.3 million per port.

Having a quick turnaround of cargo and an efficient port operation department is the first step to implementing a smart port strategy, and something many of us are now piecing together.

The question our ports now need to ask themselves, however, is just how smart are we?

With this in mind, we’re pleased to host the Smart Ports 2019 Summit, which will look at ways ports across Australia and the world can enhance operational efficiencies.
