11:30 AM New Generation Infrastructure to Create more Sustainable Precincts
Open cities is a peak association representing infrastructure and urban design advocates working together to create a more sustainable, resilient and affordable energy, water and digital mobility future. This association are advocates of next generation infrastructure such as recycled water and waste, smart poles, solar batteries, connected microgrids, mobility as a service – including shared microgrids, mobility as a service, shared data networks including IoT and open telco networks. This session will explore:
- Strategies to meet the needs of precincts through enabling 21st century infrastructure and services to be installed in open areas
- Developing a policy framework for next gen- utilities and future infrastructure
- Exploring the technology – enabled solutions to create a ‘smart’ sustainability chain
