Fernando Penteado (Past Speaker)

Fernando Penteado is a Supply Chain & Logistics Executive with over 15 years of experience leading operations on Latin American markets specifically in the Consumer Goods, Cosmetics and Retail industries, with a proven track record for building world-class operations and a strong international expertise. He is certified on Supply Chain Management (CPSM®), Professional Coaching (ICF International Coach Federation) and Lean Six Sigma Champion & Green Belt).

He is the former Supply Chain Executive Director at Grupo Exito (part of Groupe Casino France) in Colombia. Grupo Éxito, also known as Almacenes Éxito S.A. is the largest South American retail company that operates 2,606 stores in South America, and is the leader in Retail Industry in Colombia with more than 570 stores. In this role, he managed the entire transport and distribution logistics infrastructure for the company at national level.

Previously, he was the Corporate Head of International Trade and Logistics of Belcorp focusing on supply chain and strategic sourcing.  In this role, he supported business growth in all countries in which Belcorp and its brands are present, through the implementation of "best in class" logistics models, in close collaboration with stakeholders and cross-functional teams. He developed the logistics structure for Belcorp’s new markets and product lines, including the coordination of projects in Americas and Far East (India and China). Other prominent roles in the cosmetic industry includes his experience working with Supply Chain Management for Avon Cosmetics for almost 11 years (2001-2011).

Throughout his career, Fernando has successful led multiple initiatives of process improvements, delivering expressive savings on logistics optimization from (5% to 7%) . Also he has knowledge and professional experience on financial routines, mainly regarding to inventory control and COGS management (USGAAP). He is fluent in Portuguese, English and Spanish.
