2:00 PM CASE STUDY: Driving Performance and Creativity at the Australian Film Television and Radio School to Develop the Next Level of Future Leaders

The AFTRS pride on ensuring their key business objectives are finding, developing and supporting Australian storytelling talent and that this is reflected in all decisions. This includes liaising with Government, collaborating with industry and deepening the school’s commitment to diversity and inclusion. In this session, Christina will discuss how the organisation is working towards building the next generation of Australian talent and equipping the industry with relevant skills to not only meet long-term business objectives, but also ensure that audiences and the general public continue to be enriched by Australian stories.

  • Encouraging programs for staff to harness creativity to help with creating better communication for future decision making and develop multiskilling opportunities
  • Understanding AFTRS’ staffing model that encourages exposure to new and current skill requirements that help drive high performance for future leaders and assist with retention
