Andrew Hall is the head of market and counterparty risk data strategy and governance at BNP Paribas, responsible for everything to do with data used in Market Risk and Counterparty Risk management. This includes data transformation, infrastructure and governance. Prior to this role, Andrew has worked within risk functions for the past twenty years, delivering market risk and counterparty risk systems at investment banks and asset managers in the City. Prior to moving into the city, Andrew worked in Geographical Information Systems, an early precursor to “google earth”; and before that he applied artificial intelligence and speech recognition techniques to a variety of problems. These days, he has rediscovered his old love of fencing, and can often be seen with an epee trying not to pull a muscle.
