11:45 AM PANEL DISCUSSION: FUTURE PROOFING PROCUREMENT TO WITHSTAND UNEXPECTED CRISIS

The COVID-19 pandemic caught many companies unprepared—and has exposed shortcomings in their mechanisms to plan for and mitigate supply fluxes during severe disruptions. It has also revealed a lack of centralized and coordinated visibility in risk monitoring. During this time of crisis, CPOs have seen that strategic sourcing has been the pillar of strength to manufactures and retailer. As they look ahead to the post-COVID era and what that will look like, they are ensuring their organizations’ abilities to respond to future unexpected challenges with confidence and insight. This session we focus on:

  • Embedding risk management into procurement decisions, all the way from upfront sourcing through to payment execution.
  •  Leveraging augment tools to enhance centralized visibility and controls, and mitigating inherent risk to residual risk
  • Using predictive analytics to run scenario modeling and “what if” analyses more frequently to ensure a solid Business Continuity Plan
