1:10 PM CASE STUDY: Investing $38 Billion State-Wide to Drive Improvements in Network Capabilities to Boost Performance and Usability of Services at Public Transport Victoria
The Victorian Government is investing in $38 billion in major infrastructure and smart technology projects to help build more capacity onto existing networks. In order to ensure these projects meet service reliability expectations and meet the growing needs of the city, Public Transport Victoria are creating network development plans to drive improvements in the current capabilities for rail networks throughout the state. In this session, Alistair will discuss:
- Analysing six capabilities to invest and drive into projects to achieve the best outcome: Performance, capacity, user experience, usability, safety and security
- Creating a framework and ensuring the correct level of requirements and resourcing to achieve the desired uplift and help set up the network for the future
- Joining the dots and working with operators: How PTV is engaging with rail operators to ensure that networks and links meet their required performance, reliability and sustainability expectations to meet user experiences
