Due to higher public expectations on the design and experience of rail networks, Digital Engineering and Building Information Modelling (BIM) have proven to be essential for capturing and manipulating data to meet these growing needs in a game-changing way. Not only does it influence increased safety, design and cost predictability of a project, but helps to build confidence and greater collaboration which can help to identify innovative solutions. Drawing on case studies and project success of employing Digital Engineering, this session will explore:
- Developing a strategic Digital Engineering framework to help keep up with digital trends which will help support and accelerate the design of future projects
- Creating a deeper understanding and assessment of maintenance, enabling better responsiveness and connectedness between digital engineers and other stakeholders
