David Lucky

Director of Global Finance Operations Accounting Bayer

David Lucky is the Director of Global Finance Operation, for Accounting, in St. Louis.  In this role, he is currently focused on the transition / tranformation management for the transformation and integration activities for legacy Monsanto and legacy Bayer US Accounting Platform fuction. In this role he provides leadership and oversight for transitions, process improvement, team training and onboarding and performance management reporting.

During his 32+ years with Monsanto / Bayer, David has held a variety of finance accounting roles including Director of Global Financial Shared Services, where he had responsibility to develop and implement the Shared Services strategy; Global Business Analysis Manager, where he had responsibilities for the management of FP&A, LRP, Budgets and Actuals. Manager Strategic Analysis, where he performed M&A activities and strategic planning activities; Treasury as the Global Credit and Global Cash management lead; and variety of other key Finance and Accounting roles. David is an experienced financial leader, with broad experience across the finance and accounting functions. He has held a number of key leaderhip roles, is experienced working in diverse organizational strucutres and has a passion for mentoring and developing employees.

David has a BS in Marketing from California State University - East Bay and an MS in Business & Economics from Washington University.

David and his wife Sandy have been married for 31 years, have two sons, and are originally from California. There son Nathan works in IT for SSM Health, in St. Louis and their son Alex works as an Aeronautical Aerospace Engineer for Boeing in Seattle, WA. David and Sandy like to travel, engage in outdoor activities, participate in family activities and most recently have taken up golf.
