Tony Batalla

Tony Batalla is Chief Technology Officer for the City of San Leandro, California. He has helped launch a free, public Wi-Fi system and Citywide IoT network utilizing the City’s fiber optics network. He oversees all aspects of technology, including infrastructure, service delivery, and data management and acts as the senior advisor for City Council on technology issues and policies. He holds an MBA from UCLA Anderson and a BS from the University of San Francisco. He has co-authored comprehensive papers on public Wi-Fi and IoT for the NIST Global City Teams Challenge program.
