APA Group is responsible for the operations and productivity of over 15,000 km’s of natural gas pipelines which support and provide gas to around 1.4 million Australian homes. Through a complex SCADA system, APA Group is designing system architecture that incorporates Machine Learning capabilities to enhance the collection of real-time data from sites from across the country to improve productivity. This session will highlight the importance of enhancing the efficiency of real-time data collection in order to maximize productivity.

  • Examining the existing data to determine where there are gaps that inhibit data being real-time. 
  • Evaluating what improvements/upgrades should be made to existing software to ensure SCADA data is collected and monitored as efficiently as possible. 
  • Understanding how machine learning and AI can play a role in maximizing real-time data potential.
