Bjorg Texel

Bjørg Texel is Lead Trademark Counsel at A.P. Møller – Mærsk, where she oversees global trademark strategy, enforcement, and brand protection for one of the world’s most recognized logistics brands. In her role, Ms. Texel is a key partner to Maersk’s legal and commercial teams, providing strategic counsel on trademark portfolio management, brand risk mitigation, and IP enforcement across jurisdictions. Her work includes oversight of Maersk’s distinctive IP assets, including one of Denmark’s earliest registered color marks, the iconic “Maersk Blue.” Before joining Maersk, Ms. Texel served at Poul Schmith, Denmark’s largest law firm, where she advised public and private sector clients on intellectual property and marketing law. Her practice spanned complex advisory work, regulatory compliance, and litigation support in high-stakes brand matters. Ms. Texel holds degrees in law from Wheaton College (MA) and the University of Copenhagen. She is currently based in Copenhagen and brings a transatlantic perspective to her role.
