Joeri Mombers graduated from the Law School at KU Leuven (BE). He is a qualified Benelux and European trade marks and designs attorney and a member of the Benelux Association for Trade Mark- and Design Law (BMM). He is Lead IP Counsel at Signify where he applies his expertise regarding trademarks, designs, domain names, copyright and related matters in day-to-day matters and strategic projects. In 2005, he became a member of the Anti-Counterfeiting Committee of AIM, the European Brands Association, which he now chairs, alongside the World Customs Organisation’s Rights Holders Consultative Group. In 2010 he was a founding member of the EUIPO’s IP Enforcement Portal. He has lectured at the Centre for Intellectual Property Rights of the KU Leuven.
