Roman Bonn, a German Patent Attorney and European Patent and Trademark Attorney, is the global head of the IP department of Continental AG, one of the top three automotive suppliers with a turnover of over 40 billion US dollars for its three sectors (Tires, Industry, Automotive) and R&D expenses of over 3 billion US dollars a year. With a technical background in physics and a PhD degree in mechanical engineering he started his inhouse IP career at Siemens AG for its power generation division. After holding different management positions at Siemens, including Head of IP for mobile network business, he joined Continental as Head of IP Automotive with the acquisition of the SiemensVDO business. He represents Continental in various IP working groups in national and European industry associations.
